At the quarters

We were grateful that our Headmaster understood us when we applied to stay at the quarters. We also knew at that time he could not always let us went back during the intervals so the best solution was to let us stay at the quarters. When we stayed at the quarters, we also helped to take care of the school. We had our own vegetables garden behind our quarters and we made sure our compound was always clean the grass always cut short. The drains were kept clean. So we stayed there from sometimes in May 1993 until May 2000. I was away from home June 1997 till May 2000. After my studies, I was transfered to Sibu and my family followed me by the end of 2000. Our son, Gideon grew up in that quarters at SKSU, Dalat. Out of his 7 birthdays, most of them  were celebrated there. We were and still are grateful to our students and nieces who used to help in taking care of our son. Thanks be to God, our son was a "home alone" since his first year in this world. It was easy to take care of him...not much tantrums and he got along with almost all his baby sitters.
